Chinese ethanol traders want to import but don’t know when E10 will begin

In China, Platts is reporting that although Beijing, Tiajing city and eight cities in Shandong province will be the first to roll out the E10 mandate, the government has yet to announce when the mandate must be implemented which has handicapped traders in their ability to take advantage of a current arbitrage window with the US that remains open. CFR China offers were down $30/metric ton from last month at $530/mt thanks to lower CME ethanol futures prices of late.
