Border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discuss border security

Tashkent, Feb. 17, 2018 / Kabar /. Heads of the Border Services of Kyrgyzstan Ularbek Sharsheyev and Uzbekistan Oibek Kosimov discussed security issues at the border and the working conditions of the checkpoint.

The sides discussed the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, summed up the results of the joint work on border protection, and discussed the issues of ensuring its security, the functioning of checkpoints located on the jointly guarded section of the border, the Committee for the State Border Protection of the National Security Service of Uzbekistan reported.

Following the talks, a decision was made to intensify bilateral cooperation, in order to implement the agreements reached during the meeting of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on creating favorable conditions for the citizens of the two countries crossing the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border.
